Ray and Lea met in March 2019. Ray invited Lea out to The Family Jones in Denver, Colorado for dinner and drinks. The two quickly bonded over music, travel, and whiskey sours. Lea reminisced about her recent trip to Cambodia, while Ray excitedly shared about his upcoming trips to Chicago and Australia. Through conversation, Lea shared about her dream of visiting NYC, having seeing the city lights at the top of her teenage self's bucket list. Following dinner, Ray walked Lea around the corner to a rooftop bar/restaurant overlooking the city of Denver, city lights and all. This warmed Lea's heart and the magic carried on from there. Over the years, Ray and Lea have enjoyed seeing the world together, with Ray feeling connected to Lea's ability to embark on adventures from a place of spontaneity and curiosity. Interestingly enough, Ray has always lived by the motto "to the journey", which is the same quote Lea has framed on her desk that she has owned for many years. These two continue to embrace the journeys in life together hand in hand with love. Ray and Lea look forward to celebrating their love and commitment to one another in a place that illustrates "to the journey" well; Cancun, Mexico. Ray fell in love with Cancun as a youth while on a vacation with family, while Lea's affinity for the ocean and sandy beaches represents peace and nostalgia having grown up by the ocean when she was young. It's no coincidence that Cancun was one of the first places these two traveled to together and continue to frequent as they grow their love. Ray and Lea look forward to welcoming close friends and family on this next journey in life in celebration of love.
